FARM & RANCH SERVICES

Kleensite has delivered affordable land clearing, cedar removal, mesquite grubbing, wildlife planning, ROCK GRINDING and more for farms and ranches in austin, san antonio, and the entire state of texas since 2008.

  • MESQUITE GRUBBING

    • Mesquite trees are also an invasive species known to be more of an aggressive type so the weaker, more nutritious species can't compete with it. Mesquite roots can grow close to 200 feet underground and regenerate if the tree is chopped down making them pesky trees to remove. This is why mesquite grubbing is the best known method of removal. Utilizing machinery with a specialized attachment, removal of the tap root, trunk, and canopy renders the tree helpless to re-propagate and grow back. Once removed and piled, the next step is to burn the material.

  • HAUL OFF / DISPOSAL

    • Not a fan of mulch, no problem...our Mack truck and 100-yard dump trailer can be the answer to your needs.

  • KLEENBOX BURNERS

    • Our Kleenbox technology enables us to burn onsite, eliminating the need for grinders and trucks. Plus, this method produces a highly clean burn at a fraction of the economic and environmental cost. Reduction of black carbon is important because when suspended in the atmosphere, it contributes to global warming by converting incoming solar radiation to heat. Our Kleenbox technology simulates the natural burning of wood waste, but without a high degree of pollution. Learn more about Kleenbox Burners.

  • LAND CLEARING

    • Includes mulching of invasive cedar growth, undesirable trees, stumps, and other useless vegetation from wooded areas. Mulching overgrown areas provides a cost-effective, eco-friendly method that promotes natural erosion control leaving soils stable and relatively undisturbed. Once cleared native grasses, and other desirable vegetation tend to flourish, restoring the land to its natural state. This process is typically fast, efficient, and very affordable.

  • SELECTIVE CLEARING

    • Critical to the health of the land and wildlife, selective clearing can be done on any type of land, large or small. With careful planning and coordination with our clients, we are able to put in motion a well thought out method to achieve desired results. Once a plan has been put into place, our experienced operators carefully set about selectively clearing cedar, underbrush, and other invasive species leaving behind a landscape everyone can enjoy.

  • DETAILED CLEARING AND CEDAR / UNDERBRUSH MULCHING

    • Detailed clearing and underbrush mulching around quality hardwoods is crucial to the health of your precious hardwoods. Cedars are a fire hazard due to the natural oils they contain, which is highly flammable. The cedar tree’s natural oils combined with the large surface area of the leaves makes cedar trees highly combustible, especially under low humidity conditions. Cedars are also known to “water-hog” thus depriving your quality species of plants and trees the water they need to thrive.

Mulching is arguably the most cost-effective and common method of removing invasive species such as Mountain Cedar, Red Cedar, and Juniper. Utilizing machines of various sizes, It allows us to selectively clear areas of any size or density in and around good hardwood trees, structures, ponds, fence lines, etc.

  • CACTUS REMEDIATION

    • Rangeland requires regular maintenance, especially when it comes to controlling invasive species, such as the Texas prickly pear. The cactus, native to the American Southwest, can be a particularly thorny problem. During drought, prickly pear grows when nothing else will and can quickly overtake an entire pasture.

Mulching the cactus into, essentially a slush or slime is generally considered the most effective, immediate, and ecologically friendly way to remove large stands of prickly pear - provided the proper soil conditions exist. The soil needs to be sandy and flat vs rocky and sloped.

Alternatively, but once again depending on terrain, a skid-loader equipped with a rock rake or grubbing attachment are alternative methods of attacking large stands of cactus. This process permits the operator to remove several inches of the root, enough to kill the plant.
